Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westman (BBBSW) is seeking an experienced, inclusive, and strategic Executive Director to lead our organization.

**About the Role**:
The Executive Director (ED) reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for implementing and achieving the policies and goals set by the Board of Directors, adhering to the National Standards established by Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Canada. The ED oversees all aspects of day-to-day operations, including staff management, program planning, community engagement, and financial oversight.

We seek an innovative leader experienced in managing organizations delivering diverse programs and services. You should be comfortable working with children, families, mentors, and volunteers. Essential qualities include strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, self-motivation, proficiency with computer tools, and a positive outlook. You should embrace cultural inclusiveness, be resourceful and compassionate, adaptable, and skilled in negotiation.

**What You Need**:
You should have two or more years of senior management experience, including experience working with a Board of Directors and knowledge of governance practices. A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher (e.g., in Economic Development, Community Development, Social Work) or an equivalent combination of education and experience with at least a 2-year diploma in Human Services is required.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Successful completion or ability to complete a Volunteer Management Course within 1 year.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and related programs.
- Ability to identify key issues and creatively address challenges.
- Experience in budget creation and management, with an understanding of risk management.
- Respect for confidentiality in accordance with policies and laws such as PIPEDA.
