Astrum Search is working with an international manufacturing business in their search for a new Group Internal Auditor. The role is to be based in France, although the exact location is flexible (ideally Paris, Lyon, Lille, or Strasbourg).
The Group Internal Auditor will be part of an international team that is located in various locations across Europe. The role reports to the Director of Internal Audit who is also based in France.
This is a highly international role and requires up to 60% travel (approximately 25-30 weeks per year) across Europe, Middle East, USA, and Latin America.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan and execute audit assignments as per the group internal audit plan
- Develop value-adding recommendations which have been agreed by management ensuring they are realistic and cost-effective, whilst adding value to the business
- Draft concise audit reports for review by the Internal Audit Manager and Director of Internal Audit
- Develop positive working relationships with stakeholders across the business, and work with management to improve business processes and internal controls
- Perform ad-hoc projects and investigations as requested.
**Skills & Experience**:
- An experienced audit professional who has experience of internal audit or internal controls in a leading accounting firm (preferably Big 4) or international PLC
- Flexible and able to travel internationally
- Familiarity with IT General Controls is advantageous
- Fluency in both French and English
- High level of professional integrity with strong communication skills.
