Education & Protection Coordinator (H/F)

Secours islamique France is looking for an Education & Protection Coordinator for it's mission based in Damascus, Syria. **Context** Involved in Syria since 2008, SIF has been working alongside UNHCR to bring equitable access to the basic services such as water accessibility, hygiene and sanitations to the displaced and affected populations in Syria. In a joint venture with UNICEF, SIF was able to create 5 centers in which unscholled children got education and diverse activities. Thanks to SIF's capacity building programme, 770 Teachers and more are now able to better protect vulnerable children against abuse, violence or even child labor. You will be under the supervision of the Program coordinator and will supervise the Education & protection manager and the All round Log. Your main responsabilities xill be ( evolving and non exhaustive lis): - Promote communication and **active participation of all project staff** in the **d**evelopment of the project cycle and its activities* as well as in SIF values, Child Safeguarding policy, PSEA and philosophy - **Oversees the monthly cash request and expenditures vs forecast** for all the project activities. - Assist in **recruiting** and **coaching** of the team members with focus on the national coordinator for education and protection - **Supervise the staff management** with the supervisors of the project and in a close collaboration with the HR Manager. - Define together with HR Manager and ProgCo the resources needed for the project, the **training and capacity building needs **for the team, and optimize the resources - O**versees the project logistic monthly priorities** and **supervise the All Round Log** in support activities underway - Guarantee that **security measures are applied** according to the mission security guidelines - Prepare strategic & operational **networking strategy** with its plan identifying the national, regional and international potential donors & partners - Analyse the **political and humanitarian situation** in the specific project activities area in order to orientate better the Education & Protection interventions to deliver adaptable appropriate response to the programmes targeted beneficiaries from the people of concerns **Profil requis** **Profil** - Master (Advantage)/Bachelor’s degree in project management, education, psychologist, law, political science or social studies or related field. - Equivalent 3 years’ experience with an INGO and/or at least 3 years’ experience as project manager or coordinator in education & protection field - Expertise in project cycle management with Knowledge of international humanitarian responses, institutions and donors’ procedural requirements. - Proven technical experience, implemented and developed programme activities related to protection based-knowledge with Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, PSEA, case management, in line of the child safeguarding policy & standards. - Flexibility & Ability to work and multi-task under pressure in insecure contexts - Knowledge transfer & Managerial Team player s - Proactivity, Analytical & Critical thinking - Cross Cultural Awareness - Self-learning & Adaptability **Conditions** - 6 months, full time, renewable - Contract start date: ASAP - Remuneration according to profile - Per diem, guesthouse - Health insurance - 60% covered by SIF - Repatriation/liability insurance - 100% covered by SIF - Break allowance during the 3 and 9 month breaks - Airfare to and from the mission location to home - paid by SIF at 6 and 12 months **_SIF commits to: _**: - SIF reservesthe right to check the criminal records according with the current law._ - SIF respects the humanitarian principle of "Do no harm" and ensures child security as a primary consideration._ - SIF practices a policy of zero tolerance toward every type of fraud, corruption, moral harassment, abuse or any type of violence, more broadly every type of offense to the legislation, regulation and code of conduct.SIF rallies its personnel in the promotion, diffusion and respect of its chart's principles._ - You fit this profile and support our commitment?_ **Job Type**: Contract
