What you’ll do & Who you are
Main Mission:
The Product Design Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing a team of product designers. You play a strategic role in defining and executing user experiences while guiding teams to deliver innovative, consistent, and user-centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Management and Leadership:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of talented designers- Provide personalized mentorship to help designers grow professionally and reach their goals- Establish high standards of quality and ensure they are upheld across all projects- Foster a collaborative, motivating, and inclusive work environment
Strategy and Vision:
- Define the product design vision and strategy in collaboration with leadership teams- Ensure that design initiatives align with business objectives and user needs- Drive the integration of user-centered design principles into the product development process
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design supports product and business goals- Promote cross-functional collaboration and resolve potential friction points between teams- Facilitate clear communication of design intent to internal and external stakeholders
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee team deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with existing guidelines (Design System, UX principles)- Track projects to ensure timely delivery and achievement of objectives- Identify pain points in user journeys and propose pragmatic solutions- Prioritize design initiatives based on resources and strategic priorities
Continuous Improvement:
- Implement processes to enhance team productivity, quality, and collaboration- Incorporate user feedback and data (qualitative and quantitative) to refine design decisions- Advocate for the importance of user-centered design across the organization
Skills and Requirements:
Technical:
- Expertise in product design with a strong understanding of UX/UI processes- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
Leadership:
- Proven experience managing and developing design teams- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills- Strategic vision and ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Interpersonal:
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams- Capacity to influence and advocate for design priorities among diverse stakeholders- Empathy to understand both user and team needs- You are fluent in French
