Research Engineer Position

**Missions principales**

We are seeking a motivated and creative research engineer to join a research initiative exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on individuals in the workplace, with a specific focus on AI as a tool for human augmentation. This project combines insights from Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Systems, organizational behaviour, and AI design to better understand how intelligent systems reshape work experiences, practices, and identities.
- Design and conduct empirical studies (e.g., lab or field experiments, participatory design sessions, usability tests) to examine how AI tools influence work practices, decision-making, cognitive load, well-being, or skill development. The missions will align with the work to BE carried out in the AI lab.
- Investigate the perceptions, expectations, and sense making processes of individuals interacting with AI systems in professional contexts.
- Explore design principles for developing AI systems that foster trust, transparency, autonomy, and meaningful augmentation.
- Contribute to academic publications in top-tier venues (ranked in the ABS list) and engage with practitioners through workshops or reports.
- Support or co-supervise master's students engaged in related projects (when applicable)
- Teach 60h a year within the Management Information Systems field.

**Context**

- PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Cognitive Science, or a related field,
- Strong background in experimental design and/or qualitative methods, with a demonstrated interest in AI, workplace studies, or augmentation paradigms,
- Familiarity with human-AI interaction frameworks, user-centred design, or responsible/ethical AI is a plus,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Previous publications in the field are an asset
