In the pre-sales organization, the core-tech team is seen as a group of experts, working closely with field Sales Engineers, to help on FortiGate (firewall) topics. Team's objective is to assist them until the deal is won or lost.
Core-tech team has developed an internal tools to manage the service requests coming from SE directors and SE managers. These requests are the only way to engage the core-tech teams on different projects (workshop, performance tests, design assistance). This ticketing systems is based on Microsoft teams, and contains three main components:
1/ interactions with different systems through API calls to populate its database (knock, Saleforces).
2/ the project tracker, managing the communicate with SE through MS teams' channels, the engineers assigned to the project, and also the recording of the deliverables.
3/ Reporting to managers, to exec level, and in the future to SE directors and managers.
The tool is used for more than two years now in production, and requires constant improvements based on feedbacks or new constraints coming up. We also would like to develop a sharepoint site to share the reports, and also improve the way we are building the reports.
As part of the team, you will be in charge of the maintenance of the tool (new features, fixes), and also to design and implement the sharepoint site to publish our reports.
