**JOB PURPOSE**:
To achieve the Customer expectation, the Sensory Lead has overall responsibility to develop and implement the Sensory program throughout the region and support McCain customers for Potato products and Appetizers.

Report to: FS&Q | Product Quality & Sensory Manager

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Partner with Global Quality Sensory Director for program development and regional deployment.
- Establish, lead and provide oversight for McCain’s regional quality sensory programs, providing functional leadership to sensory teams across internal facilities.
- Provide guidance for training, strategy development and implementation, facility upgrades, and on-going calibration.
- Ensure standardization of all sensory quality methods, initiatives, and best practices.
- Incorporate sensory quality methods into problem solving toolbox, leading the effort to link sensory action standards to production systems.
- Track and trend regional sensory performance and lead RCA/CAPA initiatives to drive holistic and sustainable solutions.
- Partner with R&D to assure the criteria for gold standard of key product attributes (KPAs) are established and quality sensory programs are in place to evaluate them at scale up and ongoing.
- Participate in Sensory follow up in the department with Technical Account Manager.
- Share sensory language to bridge between Quality, R&D, Tech Ops and Operations.
- Follow the new technology to improve the sensory measurement.
- Analyze the results of the internal and external Benchmark with the Technical Account Manager and the Benchmark coordinator for supporting appropriate action plans are established to unlock regional opportunities.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Master’s degree in food science with Sensory and / or Quality
- Minimum 3 years of experience working within food manufacturing organization in Quality or Sensory.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with teams are required.
- Knowledge in Sensory basis
- Experience working with R&D, Marketing, Quality and Manufacturing will be a plus
