**About Technip Energies Lyon**:
Within the TECHNIP Energies universe, the Lyon center is referenced as the group's center of expertise in the field of Polyolefins. Specialized in Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Green Chemistry and Life Sciences, it also supports the development of innovative technologies in areas such as biotechnologies or bio-sourced synthetic products and hydrocarbons. **About the position**:
We are currently looking for a Senior Concrete and Structural Steel Design Specialist F/H to join our team based in Lyon, France.

Mission and responsibilities

You will report to the Civil Engineering Department Manager and operationally to the Civil Engineering Business Manager of the Project to which you are assigned.

You will participate, within multidisciplinary teams, in feasibility studies, design and execution of buildings, structures and foundations for industrial installations in the petrochemical, chemical and energy sectors on international contracts. Short-term missions are to be expected, in France or abroad.

**As such, your main missions will be**:

- Write the basic data and technical specifications for the design and construction of reinforced concrete and steel structures
- Establish and define the design principles of the structures by integrating the specificities of each project
- Collect and analyze input data (loads, interface details, operating constraints, etc.) from the general installation and other design specialties for the projects entrusted to you for study
- Carry out the calculation and dimensioning of reinforced concrete and steel structures, as well as the verification of associated plans
- Carry out structural diagnostics of existing buildings and structures.
- Validate and approve studies and documents from design subcontractors, suppliers and construction companies
- Build the estimation of civil engineering quantities (earthworks, backfill, concrete, framework...) by mixing structural pre-sizing, ratio approaches, the use of internal tools or in-house benchmarks, as well as by using an internal database. For this, you rely on the analysis of documents produced by other engineering disciplines (Plot, layout, 3D model, fire network routings, equipment list...)
- Supervise and validate the work of junior engineers and draftsmen Participate in the presentation and defense of study results to clients

**About you**:
Graduated from an engineering school or university with a specialization in civil engineering / buildings (INSA, ESTP or equivalent), you have more than 10 years of experience in a design office in the field of design and execution of reinforced concrete and steel structures in the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries.

You master the STAAD PRO structural calculation software and are familiar with international regulations (European and American).

You speak English fluently and master technical English.

You are autonomous, dynamic and open-minded, and like teamwork.

You are mobile for occasional trips abroad.

**Your future at Technip Energies**:
Depending on your personal aptitude, you could move towards expertise in reinforced concrete and/or steel structures, towards other jobs in scientific calculation or towards a position as Civil Engineering Business Manager, in Lyon or in another engineering center.

Experience in construction supervision or construction support in civil engineering in France or abroad would also enable you to broaden your field of expertise.

Evolutions towards transversal jobs (Digitalization, planning, estimation, works contracts...) are also possible according to your own skills.
