**Description**
IVQ Engineer for GNSS Ground Segment in the EGNOS Development and IVQ Section, EGNOS and SBAS Division, Galileo and EGNOS Programme Department, Directorate of NavigationReporting to the Head of the EGNOS Development and IVQ Section, you will be primarily responsible for following up industrial activities in the area of integration, verification and qualification (IVQ), in close coordination with EGNOS System Engineering, Security and Product Assurance Teams.**Duties**
- Lead ESA interaction with the EGNOS prime contractors and developing subcontractors in the IVQ domain for EGNOS EV2, EV3, EGNOS evolution projects or any other project of the Division;
- Assess industry’s IVQ phase engineering and follow up the design of the integration and verification strategy for factory qualification reviews ;
- Supervise industry’s system verification activities, including the planning of the test campaign, the assessment of test cases and test procedures, and the review of test reports and the Verification Control Documents, and participate in the relevant inspections, test readiness reviews, test review boards, S-FQRs and S-QRs;
- Supervise the acceptance onsite of EGNOS subsystems;
- Monitor industry’s activities concerning the configuration of the test platform (unclassified and classified) and the management of the configuration database;
- Supervise the specification, design, procurement and development of IVQ tools and means used as part of EGNOS projects;
- Participate in EGNOS V3 non-conformance review boards;
- Support ESA’s technical control boards in the IVQ domain;
- Support the project procurement activities in the IVQ domain: contribute to the preparation of statements of work or change requests, as well as the assessment of change notices;
- Support the Development and IVQ Section team in the following subsystem development activities, and provide support as necessary to other project reviews;
- Actively contribute to research and development by supporting system architecture definition and specification in the system IVQ domain.

Proven experience in the field of GNSS ground segment development and IVQExperience in the development cycle following DO-178/DO-278/DO-254Experience in defining system verification approaches and running test phasesKnowledge of the security domain, security design best practices and security accreditation processesKnowledge of network configuration and architecture, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, switch configuration, network security and VPNExperience in rolling ONCR management processesExperience in managing and monitoring industrial contractors and holding industrial reviewsExperience in ESA procurement processes and contract management as well as applied negotiation skills**Behavioural competencies**

A master's degree in engineering, physics or computer science is required for this post.**Additional requirements**
More than five years of experience working in GNSS ground segments, in particular in security classified and safety-critical systems IVQ, would be an asset.Experience in managing industrial contractors developing safety-critical software and real-time software would be a distinct advantage.Knowledge of mission and system requirements analysis, system design, development, implementation technical follow-up and qualification reviews will be considered.You should have good interpersonal and communication skills.
