The Product Developer Packaging is part of the operations team responsible to provide together sustainable and agile solutions to Sephora Collection in order to support Sephora's growth.

In the context of evolution of our product development approach, we are looking for our future Product Developer Packaging.

The Product Developer Packaging is part of the Operations team and responsible for securing technical development of innovative products, responding to current and future issues (regulatory changes, sustainability, raw materials shortage etc).

He/she ensures qualitative launches of Sephora Collection products and development of innovation.

- **
Product launches and packaging development projects**:

- ** General**
- Ensure compliance of packaging developed with current/future regulations, with respect of time, cost and quality;
- For specific pack, build and manage packaging development planning integrated in overall project development planning
- Follow-up development OPEX and CAPEX budget. Be responsible of the KPIs in an end-to-end vision
- Coordinate with other departments, build strong links with marketing project management, packaging, and operations
- Pro-actively monitor project status, Elevate any technical or project risks and action plan to his/her manager
- Ensure product industrialization process
- ** Build project feasibility at early conception stages**
- Translate marketing concepts into product detailed propositions, anticipate risks linked to marketing requirements and propose best adapted technical solutions, prepare project feasibility and complexity assessment
- ** Packaging development and supplier submission validation**
- Be accountable for the specific packaging detailed development planning with suppliers and Project Managers
- Follow-up packaging submissions and propose necessary adjustments
- Suggest solutions to meet marketing requirements and industrialisation constraints
- Validate technical realization of the products with the packaging suppliers in compliance with the technical specifications
- Conduct technical risk analysis with operational teams and suppliers
- Ensure “Go for mould” and “OK packaging” on time
- ** Run tests and industrialization process**: align with quality, formula development team & packaging suppliers on homologation and industrial trials, drive industrial trials filling with sub-contractor, validate testing methodology, prepare documentation
- Drive innovation and collaboration with suppliers:

- Scout sustainable raw materials and new technologies
- Anticipate impact on packaging of regulatory changes, organize innovation reviews with suppliers
- Identify improvement area

- Demonstrated technical expertise on packaging product development (plastic, paperboard, glass )
- A passion to learn about technical elements of product development including production, factories and machinery, sustainable raw materials and eco-designed
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Problem-solving aptitude, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude and the ability to prioritize
- Full professional proficiency French and English
- Privileged profile:

- Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience required in cosmetics product development
- Academic background: Engineering school, Master of Science related to materials and manufacturing processes
- Requirements: ability to visit suppliers (in France and abroad) to develop partnership, and industrial knowledge
