Head Laundress

For a new luxury private resort based in Provence (surrounded by hills and vineyards) with 18 suites spread over separate building (3500 sqm of interior space), EDMAR Int., is looking for a seasonal live in Seasonal Head of Laundry from May to end of September.

You will be responsible for the laundry department on a new luxury resort with 18 bedrooms in Provence

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Hands on and able to lead and train a team of up to 3 assistants
- Responsible for all guest laundry, washing/hand washing, drying, ironing/steaming (lots of children’s clothes and sportswear)
- Fanatical on adhering to a fool proof system for returning all guest laundry back to the right room
- Able to liaise with external laundry company and keep control of quantities/quality of items sent/received
- Processing of all restaurant linens - aprons/chefs whites/kitchen/service cloths/cleaning cloths
- Prepared to service all bed linens and bathroom towels in house when guest numbers are reduced

**Profile & Conditions**:

- Driver essential with own car
- Proven experience of processing laundry in large private houses or 4* hotels
- Knowledge of housekeeping useful to help set up bedrooms prior to season opening
- Knowledge of fine garment care and excellent pressing skills/stain removal
- Willing to communicate well with housekeeping and other departments
- To work under the supervision of the Head Housekeeper & House Manager
- Non-smoker preferred
- Prepared to work 4 weeks with only one day off per week (when fully booked end of 24th June-23rd July)
- Bilingual English/French useful
- Accommodation can be provided either on or off site (possibility of shared villa 15mins drive)
- Meals available whilst on duty
- French Seasonal contract

**Salary**: 2,500.00€ - 2,700.00€ per month
