- Become a key growth contributor for VIAVI Solutions Test Systems business.
- This role is for a Systems Product Line Manager that works with Customers, Sales, Partners, Engineering, Marketing and Service Delivery groups to drive sustainable product line growth.
- The successful individual will own the product/solution definition, the commercialization model, the go-to-market plan working with different stakeholders in the VIAVI org.
- As part of this role, you will work closely in a PLM team reporting to the Systems Product Line Director to define objectives, solution capabilities, launch planning, feature enhancement roadmap planning, and pre/post-support services.
- You will help discovery of the use case/operations workflow and field management processes required by the system to enable easy and wide adoption and process mapping within the ecosystem user community.
- Write business case creation and marketing requirements for new product solutions.
- Product, Solution and Services definition using Voice of Customer tools.
- Product/Solution life cycle management from new product introduction to end-of-life.
- Negotiate/arbitrate between customer/sales side and engineering over feature scope and delivery schedules.
- Market sizing, technology trends and competitive disruption points.
- Create content for value propositions, ROI and use case training for Sales/Partners.
- Create competitive positioning content, establish & promote unique value propositions.
- Build product & services funnel, influence positioning strategy & drive adoption.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors or advanced Science/Engineering degree required.
- At least 5-10 years’ experience in Communications market with strong Communication Service Provider knowledge on network operations, workgroups & processes.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience with either 4G/5G radio access networks or Hyperscale/Edge Data Centers and how Providers and Network Equipment Manufacturers are ensuring (physical) network test quality and availability
- Experience with Cloud Hosting, SW licensing models, and creating annuity models.
- Fluent in English and excellent oral and written communications skills to prepare and deliver professional proposals or presentations to customers and peers in the organization.
- Experience creating project charters and business plans for new product introductions.
- Self-motivated, organized with excellent problem-solving ability.
- French language speaking an advantage
- This role is normally based in France (Saint-Etienne preferred) but other locations will be considered.
