**About the role**

Volnay#01 is a US-based biotechnology company operating in Paris and developing pioneering gene delivery technologies to provide innovative therapies for patients. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented polymer scientist to join our non-clinical department. The position is located in Paris.

**What you'll do**
- Provide internal expertise in polymer chemistry and manage the service provider in charge of the manufacturing of the polymer batches.
- Development and optimization of the coupling chemistry chosen to graft bioactive agents and/or fluorophores and implementation of the analytical tools necessary to characterize the synthesized products
- Implementation of new bioanalytical methods in connection with preclinical work to document the parameters of the polymers
- Design, implementation, and coordination of experimental schedules with the different experts of the company
- Planning and coordination of the outsourced synthesis of polymer batches, Process Development activities (yields, purities, industrial transposition), Scale up, and GMP batch production
- Planning and coordination of analytical development for characterization and release of polymer batches in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Writing, review and validation of technical documentation (SOP, WI, REC...), study plans and internal and sub-contractor reports
- Participation in the dissemination of the company's scientific results (patents, scientific articles, communications at international conferences)

**What we're looking for**
- Ph.D. in Chemistry with a specialization in polymer science and 3+ year experience of directly related experience in biotech or pharma industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams as a strong team player as well as independently.
- Proven experience in sub-contractor management
- Used to working under quality assurance
- An advanced level of English is required for this role, due to the international stakes of the company's development
- Mastery of IT tools
