The position is available in the CPU Performance Analysis and Micro-architecture Modelling team, an international team comprised of an enthusiastic mix of experts and talented graduates. At the crossroads of software and hardware, our activities cover all performance-related topics for the CPUs developed in the centre, from early microarchitectural investigations, to performance verification of the final products. What could you be doing as a Graduate CPU Micro-architect and Performance Modelling Engineer? You will be part of a small team in charge of improving some specific CPU micro-architectural functionalities. Early phases of the projects are dedicated to micro-architectural investigations: you will implement the expected improvements in an internally-developed CPU performance model, and analyze the resulting performance and power efficiency gains, refining and tuning the micro-architecture until finding the appropriate sweet spot. In later stages of the project, the activity will focus on the performance verification of the product itself, to ensure it reaches its area, frequency, power and performance targets. We are looking for individuals who: - Have solid programming skills - preferably in C language - Have some knowledge of CPU microarchitecture - Are proficient in English - Curiosity about technology outside of the classroom - personal projects, hackathons, or internships etc - Good interpersonal skills with an analytical approach - Previous exposure to CPU or system benchmarking and performance analysis In Return: In addition to a competitive salary and comprehensive rewards package , you'll also receive the support, autonomy and opportunity to excel in your career.
