The GIS Cartographer utilizes geographic information data, deploys and manages a geographic database, interprets and analyzes data, and provides cartographic formatting for both internal and external distribution. He/She will work on all renewable energy themes (photovoltaics, agrivoltaics, wind, hydrogen, etc.), particularly for the French territory, but may occasionally work on international projects.

Main Tasks

The GIS Cartographer will have the following main tasks:

- Deploying and updating the internal geographic database under PostgreSQL;
- Providing support to development agencies, particularly during the prospecting phase by implementing a multi-criteria classification methodology;
- Participating in the preparation of technical studies and decision support documents (maps, plans, technical notes, communication materials );
- Participating in the development of processes necessary for the functioning of the GIS department;
- Developing new modules/technical models to support working methods at different stages of a renewable energy project.

Skills required

**The following skills are essential for the position**:

- Proficiency in open-source GIS tools and processing, particularly using QGIS and its extensions;
- Proficiency in database management via the PostgreSQL DBMS extension: PostGIS;
- Skills in the use and management of Web GIS (Lizmap, ArcGIS Online,).
- Excellent level of English;
- Knowledge of the sector through previous experience in the renewable energy field;
- Knowledge of additional recommended software (CAD, FME, image processing,);
- Knowledge of programming languages: SQL, Python, R, HTML,

This position will not meet your expectations if you do not have an interest in solution-finding through programming.
