Position Summary:
This is a demanding position consisting of controlling a team of drivers / delivery people in charge of picking up and delivering sensitive shipments in the Lyon region. (Controlled temperature, regulated products, dedicated and urgent transport, etc.)

This role requires a high level of concentration and the ability to manage a lot of information especially in times of rush.

This position relies on both a flexible approach to working hours and to-do list, as well as the ability to work and interact with people at all levels and from different departments.

Support the Store Manager in the pre-packaging and packaging preparation aspects of day-to-day operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide drivers with all relevant and appropriate information for shipments.
- Download data for analysis and distribution to customer services and other World Courier offices world.
- Preparation of specialized packaging and temperature-controlled shipments.
- Check the stock of packaging, supplies, and ensure that there is no break in the supply chain.
- Monitoring of refrigerated systems and enclosures (cold rooms/refrigerators/freezers)
- Cleaning, reconditioning and preparation of specialized packaging. (Reverse logistic)
- Scan and fill operational documents.
- Help drivers load/unload vehicles if necessary. (Handling, use of an electric pallet truck, etc.)

Specific tasks and Responsibilities:

- Able to follow procedures and instructions.
- Able to provide relevant information upon request
- Good communication skills - verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

Skills, Knowledge, and abilities required:

- French mother tongue
- Good level of English
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Autonomy
- Rigor
- Collaboration and good social relations. (Teamwork skills)
- Initiative and responsibility.
- Good use of the computer tool
- Sense of priorities.
- Ability to work flexibly.

Work Environment:
Dedicated workstation in the open space on the ground floor with access to all workstations and the warehouse.

Organizational Structure:
The Dispatcher/Preparer is under the responsibility of the Supervisor/OPS
