Manager I, Engineering

As the team's manager you'll partner with Product and other Engineering teams across Datadog to align and deliver our technical and product strategy around Fleet Automation, Remote Management, and Remote Configuration. You'll expand this nascent platform to new use cases and new environments, including container orchestration platform or OpenTelemetry.
We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to guide a growing team of engineers through an ambitious product and technical roadmap. This high-impact role will play a key part in shaping product direction, design, and engineering decisions.

**What You'll Do**:
- Lead a team of Engineers and work with Product and Engineering partners across Datadog to define and deliver an industry leading observability experience
- Lead the team roadmap, staffing, and culture. Help engineers grow their impact and career.
- Be a core contributor and reviewer of code, lead design decisions, and participate in our on-call rotation
**Who You Are**:
- Proven experience (1+ years) leading a team of 5+ engineers with a track record of delivering high quality software
- Experience managing teams that shipped and operated business-critical systems, with on-call expectations
- Experience in a full stack environment, comfortable working across various stacks, languages, and environments
- Ability to manage team dynamics, set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive and productive work environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and functions
