This project is also part of the LIFEDEEPER project ANR-22-POCE-0007.

**Main purposes**
- Study the functioning of symbiotic communities of juvenile hydrothermal shrimp from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge using metagenomic approaches

**Main Activities**
- Analysis of sequencing data: characterization of the functional repertoire of symbiotic communities, gene annotation, comparative analyzes (inter-life stages, inter-species) via Ifremer’s Datarmor supercomputer
- Ensure traceability and reproducibility of bioinformatics analyses.
- Presentation of results, writing of publications

**Relational fields**
- Internally: staff of the UMR Biology and Ecology of Deep Marine Ecosystems (BEEP)
- Externally: staff from the SEBIMER department of Ifremer
- Strong skills in bioinformatics analysis of (meta)genomic data (assembly, annotation of genes, design and implementation of scripts, pipelines, use of a computing cluster).
- Initial training: PhD in microbiology/molecular biology with advanced experience in microbial bioinformatics preferred, thesis obtained for a maximum of 3 years

**Competences**
- Knowledge of Python, Shell and R languages
- Best practices in bioinformatics
- Mastery of basic NGS analysis tools
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of microbial symbioses appreciated
- Knowledge of microbial genomics appreciated
