**Job description**:
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Audio Tech Lead to join our team and help us develop the next generation of social robots.

Our robot is designed to comprehend human commands even amidst noisy surroundings.

As the Audio Tech Lead, your primary role will be to set up the audio architecture with the hardware and software teams. You will be significantly involved in the integration of the audio system, microphones choice and position, DSP, beamforming, speaker choice and integration etc... You will be a key person to ensure characterization of the audio performances. Additionally, you will design and implement an end-to-end interaction pipeline to enable the robot to interact naturally within real-life environments.

**Responsibilities**
- Design and implement the audio systems for our social robots
- Select and position microphones and speakers within the robots
- Develop and execute benchmark processes to evaluate the performance of the robots' audio recognition and response capabilities
- Ensure that all audio processing operations are performed locally on the robots, without reliance on external servers or cloud-based systems
- Work directly on the robots' hardware to troubleshoot and improve audio performance
- Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in audio technology and machine learning
- Evaluate potential third-party partners and collaborate with other engineers to develop innovative solutions
- Interview and hire machine learning engineers

**Profile**:
**Qualifications**
- Master's degree in audio engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in audio engineering for robotics or other related fields
- Strong background in machine learning and signal processing
- Experience with real-time audio processing
- Experience with robotics and embedded systems
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
