Director Global Partner Technology Strategy

The Global System Integrator (GSI) Group within Global Partner Solutions group (GPS) manages key relationships with 18 of our top SI partners who have significant global scale and a collective strength of over a 1 million technology professionals. We are looking for an exceptional Partner Technology Strategist (PTS) who can enable our partners to rapidly scale their business on the three Microsoft Cloud Platform (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365). The PTS is a strategist yet stands out because of her/his insights, big ideas, ability to identify new market opportunities for partners on advanced modern-day technology trends and drive consumption. This is a unique role at the worldwide level that adds value both to Microsoft and to our partners.
The PTS plays a critical role in working with a global partner to align their technology roadmaps with Microsoft's technology priorities, working with them to build new solutions that enable customers to realize their vision of Digital Transformation, and drive significant growth in partner and Microsoft revenues. The PTS is a credible technical advisor to the partner’s C-Suite technical and practice management executives sharing a compelling technical vision leading to Partners committing to building new practices based on Microsoft’s technologies.
This position reports to the General Manager of one of Microsoft’s most strategic partner teams. The PTS works in partnership with the Partner Development Managers (PDMs) through the ‘Build-With’ stages of the partner life-cycle engaging with Global System Integrators that include Advisory and Consulting Partners. Given the global nature of the partner business, the PTS collaborates with global Microsoft resources to drive the partner motion.
**Responsibilities**:
**Key Accountabilities with Capgemini**:
- ** Building own Market Acumen**: Understand market trends, market opportunities, compliance by reading, attending webinars, conferences delivered by Industry thought leaders such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC.
- ** Strategic Technology Advisor**: Join the Strategic Technology Advisory/Planning groups of partners, contributing with insights that influence the technology roadmaps and investments towards Microsoft and away from key competitors.
- ** Strategic Alignment**: Identify and consult on the strategic alignment of partners towards Microsoft’s technology priorities and their technical readiness to address solution gaps as part of Industry solution mapping and capacity planning.
- ** Envisioning**: Present at Digital Transformation/Envisioning Workshops targeting Partner CIO/CTO’s envisioning solutions to capitalize on identified market opportunities.
- ** Technical Readiness**: Work with the GTM team to invest in partners’ Technical Readiness workshops executed by Partner Enablement roles in the GTM team.
- ** Technology Roadmap**: With the help of cross-team technical resources including Architects and Industry specialists define the technology roadmap for new solutions, seeking technical commitment and investment from Partner CTOs, CIOs, Practice managers to invest in the solution.
- ** Building Partnerships**: Envision the important interdependencies of 3rd party solutions, services and equipment, as well as Partner-to-Partner (P2P) motions for better together strategies among different partners and partner types.
- ** Enablement Planning**:Partner with the Global Partner Solutions (GPS) Enablement team to drive building of a comprehensive technical enablement plan for partners; including On-boarding, up/cross skilling, bootcamps, trainings, and meeting certification requirements.
- ** Enablement Delivery**:Seek the help of Technical Architects, Industry specialists and Engineering teams for the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, trainings necessary to build the technical skills and expertise of partners.
- ** Customer Engagements**: Oversee the success of Proof of Concepts, Architecture Design Sessions, Hackfests by coordinating Technical Architects to lead the execution, responsible for customer engagement in these activities.
- ** Technical Events and Community Contribution**: Attend relevant digital transformation / technology conferences. Participate in technical panels and user groups, provides insights, and contributes to work that is shared across technical communities.
