**Your mission**

Within the Global Projects Centre division, the Installation & Project Engineering discipline performs all aspects of Transportation and Installation Engineering, ranging from conceptual studies to execution engineering on project.

The Installation & Project Engineering Discipline is specifically in charge of the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, risers systems, flexible flowlines and umbilicals for renewables activities and Oil & Gas systems.

You will work on the ‘Pull-in’ of flexibles and rigid lines consisting in connecting subsea lines to a floating unit. You will have to investigate installation methods related to pull-in activities & assess their efficiency for identifying potential improvements. The study will be articulated over several phases:

- « Lessons Learnt » review on the latest projects for rigid pipelines pull-in, Flexibles, Umbilicals, & Power Cables.
- Review of applicable codes & Standards.
- Review of the Platforms interfaces, pull-in systems used with pros and cons: permanent or temporary winches with steel wire or synthetic, steering systems and connection methods.
- Definition of preferred installation aids required on platform to assist final guiding,
- Review of the monitoring devices available to assist pull-in operations: subsea cameras, min ROVs, divers, etc.
- Application case to floating offshore wind platforms with definition of pull in winch requirements,
- Assessment of capable assets and recovery methods for passing over risers & cables to floating platforms,
- Listing of the « Wet Storage » options (abandoning the lines underwater before arrival and anchoring of the platforms),
- State of the art review in terms of risers decommissioning,
- « Remote » pull-in assessment.

This internship will enable you to understand the challenges related to pull-in operations in marine environment, with projects ranging from 50m water depth to 3000m, over a large variety of sectors, countries and vessels.

**Your profile**

Student engineer in your final year or equivalent with a general background in mechanics, preferably with some knowledge of marine construction and/or naval architecture.

You have the following skills:

- autonomy, dynamism and rigour in order to propose a relevant analysis and come up with a reliable summary to improve the efficiency of our future projects with a view to safety, performance and respect for the environment,
- proactivity, curiosity and a critical mind to explore alternative solutions.

A good level of English is essential.

**Vos missions**

Au sein de la Division Grands Projets Monde, le département Installation et Ingénierie de Projet est en charge de l’installation de structures sous-marines, des ancrages, des conduites flexibles ou des ombilicaux, pour les énergies renouvelables (éolien flottant notamment) et l’Oil & Gas.
