Junior Web Developer

**ABOUT THE TEAM**:
Within the Parisian Studio and under the responsibility of the studio director and the technical lead you will be part of a dynamic team within an international organization of 35 people.

**Main duties & responsibilities**:

- Participate in the support, maintenance and evolution of existing websites
- Develop components (templates, plugins) of websites for Hotels and Hotel groups on the D-Edge CMS (WordPress-based), by following the process, design and specifications provided by the team

**Required skills and experience**:

- Good knowledge of front-end development technology: HTML5, CSS3, PHP & JS
- Familiar with or is willing to learn the jQuery ecosystem, crucial to WordPress
- Passionate about problem-solving
- Comfortable to learn and able to understand User Interactions and User Experience (UI/UX)
- Well aware of responsive web design and its relevant techniques
- You can produce and explain quality source code
- You have good oral and written communication skills in English: D-Edge is an international company with business units on 3 continents.
- Able to work in a team, dares to share and has good communication skills.

Good to have but not mandatory:
- Proven experience with development of Wordpress themes and/or plugins
- Previous experience with backend development in PHP and/or NodeJS
- Basics of frontend build systems (gulp.js)
- Familiarity with version control systems and their cloud-based tools (Git, Gitlab, Github )
- Basic system administration skills (Linux, LAMP stack, nginx, haproxy etc)
- Knowledge of Web Analytics (Google Analytics)
- Basic SEO notions
- Knowledge of advanced frontend topics like Page Speed optimization, animation, etc.
- Experience with web Accessibility frameworks (WCAG)

The new employee will be initially trained by its tech lead or a senior developer, pursuing the goal of full self-sufficiency in building websites from scratch, from getting the Project manager brief to the publication and subsequent support & maintenance**WHAT WE OFFER**:
