THE ROLE
CMA CGM is moving toward a federated/delegated governance model where business becomes central to improve quality of its data.
In that context, we’re looking for our Head of Data Governance who will be in charge of ensuring the proper deployment of Data Governance activities at group level.
He/she will be part of the Group data office which aims at supporting the right urbanization & governance of our Single Source of Truth along with the delivery of new Data Products.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
He/she will report to the head of Data office and will be responsible of:
**Data Delegation Framework**: define the data framework to be used homogeneously by both Business Data departments and Group Data office. Monitor proper deployment of the delegation framework
**Data Governance**: launch Data domain governance for domains not in the scope of Business departments (e.g. Technology, Enterprise core data domains)
**Data Quality**: Ensure proper implementation & deployment of Sifflet (Group Data Observability & Quality tool)
**Change & Data Awareness**: animate data governance communities at group level
**Team/Management**: define team organization needed to support Data Governance & data quality ambitions
**Data office collaboration**: work closely with the Head of data architecture and the Head of Data Catalog to ensure the right level of quality of new Data Products delivered
**Business collaboration**: work closely with Business Data Governance representatives to ensure consistent/homogeneous deployment of Data Governance activities
**Group & Key partner coordination**: work with other tech & data departments (Data Science, BI, Architecture, Ceva data & tech teams) to support Data product delivery
WHA ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Proven experience in similar Data Governance senior position (10+ years of experience expected)
Excellent knowledge of Data Practices, from strategy to execution (Data Governance, Data Quality)
Result/Goal oriented, capacity to deliver and manage deadlines in an evolving environment
Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written and oral
Good knowledge of Data Architecture concepts (Data Products, Data platform)
Tool knowledge (Atlan, Sifflet, Snowflake, Qlik sense, Dataiku )
Good knowledge of CMA CGM Business & IT
Demonstrated ability for teamwork
Fluent in French & English
