**Duties**:
The incumbent serves as supervisor of the motor pool and as administrative assistant for the Office of Regional Affairs (ORA) at the U.S. Embassy Paris. Incumbent oversees the administrative aspects of fleet management, maintenance of mileage and records. He/she is charge of the procurement and the logistics within the city and surrounding areas performed by the other chauffeurs. He/ she performs the duties when needed.
The incumbent is expected to lead driver coordination for all VIP visits for ORA, such as organizing the motorcade, coordinating contracted vehicles and drivers, and communicating appropriately with French Police escort. The incumbent is also responsible for safely operating an unarmored and/or fully armored vehicle (FAV) to transport the Counselor for Regional Affairs, and all U.S. Direct-Hire American employees (USDH) and temporary Duty (TDY) personnel for the Office of Regional Affairs (ORA) within the city and the surrounding areas. He/ she ensures that the vehicle is in clean and serviceable condition and performs minor preventive maintenance. Position supervises two other positions.
**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

EXPERIENCE: At least two years of administrative or office management experience and at least one year of professional driving experience is required.
KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. Good knowledge of in-country travel routes and areas. General awareness of the general political climate in the country related to protests, demonstrations and riots. Good knowledge of Paris' civil infrastructure to include schools, hospitals, airports, police stations and third-country Embassies.

English: Good working knowledge is required.
French: Good working knowledge required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Position requires exceptionally strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and to work with officials at the highest level of host nation and U.S. Government. Must have efficient planning and organizational skills to manage a large number of logístical details. Must hold a valid and legally obtained driver's license. Must be able to diagnose and handle preventive maintenance and first-echelon automotive repairs. Ability to detect vehicle defects and report them immediately to authorities concerned. Must quickly and calmly evaluate risks and alternative actions always assuring the maximum safety of the passengers. Must have basic computer skills to maintain reports and for communication purposes.
**Must possess a valid French driver's license (C and D).**

**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.
**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.
**TRANSPORTATION**:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.
**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.
**For EFMs**, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
