LIGENTEC designs and manufactures Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) for customers in high-tech areas such as Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space Technologies and Biosensors. Our All-Nitride Technology enables our customers to achieve unmatched performance to disrupt their markets.
To grow our team in our recently opened Paris site, we are looking for a:
Test Engineer in Integrated Photonics
Tasks
**Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Characterization of Photonic Integrated Circuits with a fully automated wafer level prober
- Push the limits of PIC characterization, development of test methods and procedures for highly demanding specifications
- Continued performance improvement of the automated wafer level setup, data analysis scripts and measurement procedures
- Generate, validate and maintain test programs/scripts for parametric and functional tests of electro-optic photonic integrated circuits.
- Tool ownership (uptime, maintenance, repeatability, reproducibility) of wafer level prober and related test equipment.
- Execute functional and parametric tests.
- Update and continuous improvement of laboratory inventory.
- Communication with the process team for timeline adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with the swiss testing team, contribute to the improvements of the new testing protocols.
- Interface with test equipment vendors and support equipment vendors.
**Requirements**:
**Your profile**:
- MSc or PhD in photonics, physics, optics engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with fibres and optical test equipment
- Multiple years of hands-on experience in an optical lab
- Working proficiencies in English
- Work/residence permit for France
