Venez vivre et contribuez à faire vivre notre engagement #MovedByYou- Extravesicular vesicles (EVs) are increasingly being used as a novel reservoir for disease biomarker discovery. EVs are synthesized and secreted by different cell types and contain proteins, lipids, metabolites and RNA species that reflect the physiological status of the cell of origin. As such, EVs isolation can be challenging due to their nonuniformity of shape, variable tissue of origin and the multiplicity of existing extraction methods. Despite these challenges, new isolation technologies are emerging, with the goal to standardize, automatize and isolate EVs depending on their tissue of origin.- The main objective is to build robust brain-derived EVs extraction protocols from human CSF and plasma for biomarker discovery using our internal MultiOMICS technologies: Proteomics, Genomics and Transcriptomics. The data generated will be directly used in our neuroscience rare diseases research programs.- Responsabilities:
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments with human samples and cell lines to setup, test and optimize multiple brain derived EVs extraction (isolation/enrichment) methods
- Optimize sample preparation to extract maximum amount of data from a single sample (biofluid)
- Conduct studies to examine quantitative global protein expression and gene expression in extracted EVs
- Work transversally with multiple scientists across our R&D organization to perform the experiments and analyze proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics data
- Communicate results through peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences where applicable
- Contribute to general lab activities, including mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students and science outreach where applicable
- Qualifications :_
- PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology or equivalent- Hard Skills / Expertise :_
- Proven experience with extracellular vesicles extraction and analysis
- Sample preparation and basic biochemistry analysis expertise (WB, ELISA, qPCR)
- Proteomics, genomics, transcriptomics proficiencies valued
- Some bioinformatics experiences for protein identification and gene expression analysis
- Knowledge in neurosciences is a plus, but not required

- Good communication skills and demonstrated expertise with writing and publishing in international peer-reviewed journals
