Years of experience:

- Total experience required: 12+ years
- At least 12+ years of experience in FinOps & exposure to AWS billing & cost management.
- FinOps Practitioner certification is a must.
- Associate or Professional level certification in AWS is a must.
- Manage cost visibility of public cloud platform for AWS
- Monitor cloud spend and create budget alerts
- Review & recommend the FinOps tool
- Facilitate the implementation of FinOps tool
- Conduct periodic reports and regular reviews of cloud spend with AWS Native Billing Console & with other FinOps tool
- Manage cloud commitments (CUD, Saving Plans, RI) & suggest use of Preemptible or Spot instances, wherever suitable
- Identify unused resources and schedule decommissioning
- Optimize existing resources by rightsizing instances
- Optimize architecture by migrating to scalable resources
- Define the FinOps framework and roadmap
- Support Finance for budgeting forecast and Enterprise agreements with providers
- Become the bridge between Finance, Product Owners & Cloud Engineers
- Advocate FinOps principles in day-to-day operations & induce FinOps culture within the stakeholders

**Technical Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant fields
- At least 12 years of experience on public cloud platforms and at least 3 years of exposure to AWS billing & cost management
- FinOps Certified Practitioner is a must.
- Associate or Professional level certification in AWS
- Good understanding of AWS Billing methodology, Organization & Project structure
- Good understanding of instance types, storage types & of other AWS services
- Good understanding of cost drivers for cloud resources
- Capable to consolidate data and deliver aggregate view/report
- Understanding of variable cost models for cloud resources
- Possess moderate verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in the organization and with vendors
- Understanding of PowerBI/Quicksight reports.
