Senior Software Engineer
We offer you the opportunity to join the eCare team of Engie Digital. The eCare software platform allows ENGIE's operational entities to develop innovative offers for residential customers around connected installations: consumption meters, solar panels, boilers, heat pumps, vehicle charging stations, etc.
Our platform collects data from these connected installations and uses it to design services that will enable customers to become actors in the energy transition. This information allows us, for example, to detect consumption drifts, unusual behaviors or provide recommendations to technicians and users to improve their energy management.
Technical environment The technical environment is resolutely modern, the 100% serverless platform in the AWS cloud is developed in Python and Scala. We value software craftsmanship: clean code, testing, peer programming, review.
Our team The eCare team is divided into three product teams, each in charge of a defined scope. In addition, the system team, a cross-functional team, aims to ensure the stability and reliability of the platform by supporting the product teams. Each product team is composed of a PO and a technical team and must be as autonomous as possible in its technical and functional choices as well as in the management of its scope (run, release,...)
The role:
You will join the team in charge of the ingestion of high frequency consumption data as a senior software engineer.
You will be required to:
- Build a robust and scalable timeseries data ingestion pipeline while respecting cost, performance and qualitý constraints.
- Participate in the construction of the platform's web APIs, particularly around the issue of time series querying
- Contribute to the growth of the team in maturitý on technical and methodological aspects
- Participate in the administration of the platform
Skills - You have extensive experience in REST API design and authentication methods - You have strong AWS skills and especially on serverless stacks - You have proven your Python know-how - You have a high opinion of software quality and can defend it - You have an appetite for data-driven architectures - Deploying complex cloud infrastructures no longer scares you. - You are able to address DevOps topics (CI/CD, monitoring,..)
