Every HVDC solution is tailored and designed based on a project-by-project assessment of the customers' individual requirements, whether it's for connecting offshore wind generation, long distance power transmission, or energy trading between independent networks.

Within this cross-centers and multicultural organization, the civil engineering leader is accountable for the control of the civil GE partner(s) or subcontractor(s) of the various projects.

In particular, he is reference expert in this domain and responsible to develop related knowledge within the global team

He can intervene personally either during Intent To Order and/or Order To Remittance stages for specific topics requiring expert skills.

He reports directly to the Central Europe construction & civil manager and functionally to the GSI HVDC PDG plant engineering manager

**Essential responsibilities**
- Maintain/update civil engineering requirements for GE HVDC reference solutions
- Maintain/update optimized tools, templates, design books to be used by plant engineers for civil engineering activities
- Support conversion of project contractual documents into civil engineering requirements
- Support civil engineering planning and cost estimation for the project
- Develop civil engineering expertise within the plant engineering team
- Control civil engineering deliverables performed by GE partners or subcontractors
- Perform or control 3Dmodel of civil engineering when executed by GE
- Support answers to client, partners & suppliers technical queries related to civil engineering difficult queries
- Support projects design and gate reviews
- Support continuous improvement within plant engineering
- Occasional professional trip required

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Expert knowledge on civil engineering including local standards, guidelines and costs
- Proficient with Autodesk CAD tools Revit & Autodesk Construction Cloud platform
- Strong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP), or subcontracting type for civil engineering
- Analytical mind, rigorous and commitment,
- Professional English spoken and written
