**Fixed Income Credit Financing Trader**

As a Barclays Fixed Income Financing Trader this is an exciting opportunity where you will provide secured financing to institutional clients across a wide range of products including G10 Sovereigns/Supras, covered bonds, Corporate Credit Bonds, Emerging Market Bonds and Securitized Products The group’s primary function is to provide leverage to a well-established client franchise by lending cash or securities - either through a repurchase agreement or margin lending agreement.

**Working Flexibly**

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Handling day to day trading activity with shorts covering, short, dated client trades, specials market
- Leveraging a well-established client franchise by lending cash or securities - either through a repurchase, securities lending, or margin lending agreement
- Marketing the product to potential clients by delivering colour that they find useful
- Continuing the dialogue with cash trading desk to be aware of markets, spread movements, liquidity on specific names
- Managing Emerging Markets and risk involved in various underlying bonds, to price correctly
- Handling cross currency basis and how it may be used as advantage for funding
- Leading margin teams in relation to bond pricing (marks) when they lead to margin disputes
- Maintaining an active relationship with legal and support legal negotiations and risk management in relation to ‘buy-ins’

**What we’re looking for**:

- Knowledge of Basel III (Leverage, Capital, and liquidity), FSB work streams on Shadow Banking, FTT, CSDR, etc.
- Exposure to derivative markets
- Bachelor’s degree along with one to three years of related work experience

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Proficient with Bloomberg, VBA, or other coding experience
- Excellent work ethic
- Experience and knowledge with analytical, interactive, and organisational skills
