As an innovation booster, P&C Solutions enables deals and provides services, which will ultimately enhance relationships with (end-)clients and strengthen SCOR P&C positioning in the value chain. Within P&C Solutions, the Retrocession Department is an integral part of the underwriting strategy of SCOR and ensures the protection of SCOR’s capital while providing underwriters with sufficient capacity.
Cat retrocession is by far the most important Retrocession program for SCOR given the important protection it provides to the group.
Within the Retrocession department, you will be working on the Cat Quota-Share and Cat XL reporting and analytics by improving and automating the data retrieving and calculation process.
U nder the supervision of the Senior Cat account manager, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Automate data retrieving process from SCOR’s systems and support the retrocession data preparation, renewal package and various studies
- Support and automate the reporting of Cat Quota-Shares.
- Automate the Claims calculation process for Cat QS and Cat XL for Retrocession.
- Support and automate the performance analysis for Cat QS and Cat XL
- Work on documentation of retrocession processes, i.e. document on the various automation work done
- Education: Student in Master’s degree in a scientific field, e.g. mathematics, actuarial science
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is key (excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Programming skills: SQL, VBA, Business Objects
- Knowledge in Reinsurance is a plus, as well as in Accounting for Insurance.
