**Summary / Role Purpose**

In this role, the engineer will collaborate with a team of developers and simulation experts on the development of the Framework modules and APIs to facilitate the use of Ansys simulation software within multi-physics and large models configurations. The focus of this role is the planning, implementation, realization and testing of high performant modules, services and APIs involving numerical simulation data processing that can operate optimally in different physics/architecture environments.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

Performs development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules, services and sub-systems in the area of multi-physics.

Interacts with Finite Element kernels

Understands and employs best practices

Performs bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions

Understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues

Works under the general supervision of a development manager

**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**

BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or a Science discipline, with 2 years of experience, or MS

Working experience in technical software development via academic, research or industry experience

Good understanding and skills in C++ and python programming

Problem solving oriented

Working experience in distributed architectures

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**

Technical knowledge and experience with Finite Element simulation, CAD modeling

Experience with C#, Javascript

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
