**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The CFM Legal & Compliance team is involved in complex projects requiring a deep understanding of capital market regulations across the world. The Internal Control team seeks an English/French speaking officer whose duties will include:

- Monitor CFM’s compliance with internal standards, as well as applicable laws and regulations using a risk-based approach,
- Independently run and expand CFM’s 2nd line of controls to meet operational, legal, and regulatory evolutions,
- Perform audits of internal operational departments as well as main external providers,
- Report exceptions to management, issue recommendations and ensure proper implementation,
- Use education, communication, and technology to promote a culture of risk and quality control internally,
- Use IT processes to automate regulatory & risk monitoring,
- Assist in a range of regulatory communications & filings,
- Keep informed on latest rules, regulations, and best practices,
- Communicate with lawyers, auditors, and other external advisers & service providers.

**SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- You have a master’s degree in business, law or engineering from a highly, regarded establishment,
- You ideally have at least 7 years of experience in similar work at an asset manager,
- You are a team player with attention to detail and capacity to deliver,
- You can work independently on complex projects,
- You have excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical mind and ease for numbers,
- You have excellent written and oral presentation/communication skills,
- You are a forward-looking person, with ambitions to innovate,
- You have a good capacity to use IT systems to resolve business problems
- You have a good knowledge of financial markets and financial products.
