Business Product Owner

**Mission**:
Working in the team MOA Transverse for OPS and Assets, you work in an international context, transversally to different business teams on strong value-added products, from the scoping phase to their deployment.

The main activity is to support the business stakeholders, becoming the business expert/reference for activities covered by MOA team.

Job description

You are integrating a transversal team in charge of bringing the most added value to the business in respect of data usage, the timescale and budget that is allowed to your scope. You are the Business representative and the interface with the projects/maintenance teams. You give a clear vision of the business target and define its roadmap. You collect the expectations from the business and writes precise user stories and make sure they are understood by the IT team. You maintain the backlog (demands/projects) that bring the solution to the expected target.

**Acting as the “Voice of Business”, your main mission is**:

- to communicate and coordinate Business and IT stakeholders, converting business needs into specific products to be implemented, from requirements and after deployment including identification of internal customers.
- To communicate and coordinate with the whole MOA transverse for OPS and Assets team in order to identify synergies to alert on potential impacts on other streams of this team and be alerted of potential impact from other streams of this team.

As Product Owner, you will have to handle the following activities on your scope:
1. At position take over, work with different teams to learn their business-specific processes and workflow.

**2. During Project Development Phase**:

- Business requirements & needs gathering : understand well the business issues in order to propose solutions. Make sure different needs from different departments are well considered, get consensus if needed, ensure all business needs are taken into account, aligned with the product roadmap, prioritized and arbitrated.
- Write user stories corresponding to the business needs with the appropriate level of detail to be implemented by developers.
- Prioritize user stories between them, according to business needs priorities
- Choose and coordinate with IT teams (internal or not) to implement those solutions.
- Tests and validation of the products. Guarantees that all stakeholders and departments are aligned with milestones validation (sprint validation).
- Help to solve some sticking point.
- Collaborate with other project teams to delegate some enhancements from your project on their product.
- Drive the change management with assistance of dedicated team if needed.

3. During Deployment phase
- Organisation of demonstrations, testing sessions, trainings with business teams
- Main focal point for business topics in coordination with IT support

4. After project phase
- Once tools deployed in production, ensure the maintenance by gathering additional business needs and take decisions (additional changes)
- Make the link between business and IT to enhance mutual comprehension of their needs and constraints.

According to activity workload, you can also be business product owner for other domains managed by the team.

**Required profile**:

- A previous experience on IT projects, process modelling, data management and usage of Agile methodology is a real plus and will be appreciated.
- A previous experience in Assets, OPS or SSE is an asset.
