With a Bac Pro / BAC (scientific/technical field) or with a qualification CQP Manufacturing Equipment Operator / CQP Manufacturing Installation Operator (or equivalent) or with 5 years experience in the chemical industry, your mission is to:
- to drive the polymerization installations of the Continuous unit at the different posts of this workshop according to your seniority and your versatility
- to control the supply of raw materials to the unit to maintain and prepare the installations.
You already have a good knowledge of the preparation of polymerization solutions or of the Batch/Recup polymerization unit. -Batch monomer storage
Scope of responsibilities
Continuous Polymerization, Continuous Recovery, Continuous Solution Preparation, R134a Group
Area of responsibility: Safety, Environment and Energy
- Know the risks associated with the chemicals used and the facilities of his unit, knows how to protect himself accordingly and put in place the necessary measures to mitigate the risks,
- reports any environmental problems or dangerous situations encountered to his/her hierarchy, -ensures the protection of the environment and implements specific safety and environmental protection procedures in the event of accidental pollution -is a member of the second response team, participates in exercises organized by the Safety Department and masters the procedures to be followed in the event of an incident, -intervenes without hesitation with employees or contractors who do not respect the safety instructions in force in the company, particularly with regard to personal protective equipment,
- signs the work permits for his zone (CSG02) at the beginning and end of the work. He enforces all the instructions, particularly by reminding the safety actions of the installations, by reminding the safety instructions in terms of collective and individual protection equipment, by reminding the risks of exposure and by checking the conformity of the equipment used in the framework of the intervention and if necessary, checks the validity of the specific authorizations,
- Ensures and maintains the tidiness and cleanliness of the areas operated,
- Ensures that energy efficiency is integrated into its actions.
Area of responsibility: Operational
has a perfect knowledge of the installations in his/her area of responsibility and masters the piloting of all the processes in this area.
According to his seniority and after validation of a required level of experience, the Polymerization Unit conductor ncreases his versatility:
Polymerization Unit conductor beginner: Solution preparation stations & External station Cold units, Polymerization, Monomer recovery, Bulk storage.
Intermediate Polymerization Unit conductor: Cold Unit, Polymerization, Monomer Recovery, Bulk Storage & Control Room Table Station
Expert Polymerization Unit conductorr : Control room panel station & Polymerization process station
Polymerization unit (preparation of solutions, table and outside)
Ensures the operations concerning the flow of chemical products necessary for the polymerization, the follow-up of the polymerization reaction, the corrections to be carried out according to the conformity of the results (Mooney viscosity, conversion...),
- Ensures the operations concerning the recovery of the various monomers not converted into polymerization, their separation and their treatment, -Ensures the operations concerning the reception of the stripped latexes, -Ensures the operations concerning the preparation of the solutions, and guarantees their conformity to the specifications, by carrying out quality control analyses.
- Polymerization process
- Checks that the monomers are in specification (e.g. purity of butadiene),
- Monitors the 3 main chain parameters (i.e. conversion, combined ACN and Mooney viscosity) and in case of deviation, decides on corrective actions to be taken with the help of the existing documentation updated by the process technician. -Supervises all latex storage, makes latex mixtures according to the defined quality rules, with the objective of continuously supplying the finishes. -Performs the necessary sampling to make the blends. -is attentive to the specifications of the finished products and adapts the polymerization process accordingly.
- In all cases, the Continuous Curing Unit Operator:
- Checks that all the raw materials required for the manufacturing process are available, orders them as appropriate and checks that the products in the preparation tanks are those required for the production to be carried out on the basis of the instructions and the production program,
- Ensures that the actual operating parameters are recorded, checks the equipment settings and informs his or her superiors in the event of any deviation, -Carry out a rigorous changeover on the unit at each shift with the Polymerization Leaders of the downstream and upstream teams, -collects the information requested by the supervisor so that the latter
