We’re looking for an entrepreneurial **Head of Finance** to lead our financial strategy and operations, ensuring the company's financial health while driving growth and operational efficiency. As a key strategic partner, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our mission in a fast-paced deep tech environment.
**Your Mission**:
As the **Head of Finance**, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial backbone of our company, overseeing critical teams across finance, procurement, and legal to ensure operational excellence and strategic growth. Working closely with leadership, you’ll help shape financial strategies that align with our innovation-driven goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- ** Financial Leadership**: Provide strategic direction for all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, while overseeing FP&A and accounting functions.
- ** Risk & Compliance Management**: Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and corporate governance. You will also oversee audits and manage the legal function to ensure all financial dealings meet regulatory and contractual obligations.
- ** Capital & Fundraising Strategy**: Lead and oversee all capital structure strategies, manage relationships with financial institutions, and drive future fundraising efforts, including venture capital and private equity opportunities.
- ** M&A & Investment Management**: Identify and execute M&A opportunities, evaluate investment prospects, and manage capital allocation, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
- ** Operational Efficiency**: Streamline finance operations across procurement and legal teams, manage cash flow and liquidity, and ensure that processes remain efficient and scalable to meet company growth.
- ** Team Leadership & Development**: Build, lead and mentor the finance team, which includes FP&A, accounting, procurement, and legal, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- ** Investor & Stakeholder Relations**: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors and the board, acting as a key representative in financial discussions, future funding rounds, and M&A negotiations.
**A Little About You**:
You are a seasoned financial leader who is both strategic and hands-on, ready to lead financial initiatives in a high-growth, deep tech environment. You thrive in fast-paced settings, enjoy tackling complex challenges, and can easily transition between high-level strategy and detailed financial operations.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- ** Master's Degree** in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- ** Proven experience** as a Head of Finance or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within a deep tech company or tech start-up environment.
- Strong knowledge of **financial regulations**, accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), and investment strategies.
- ** Fundraising expertise**: including experience with venture capital and private equity.
- ** Strategic thinker** with excellent analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- ** Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills**, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of the **unique challenges and opportunities within the deep tech sector**.
- A **self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset** with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
