Senior Data Engineer

Instapro Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data platform and infrastructure. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing our data pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our data processes. You will collaborate closely with Product Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers as our stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide reliable and actionable insights.

Your role includes the following:

- Collaborate with Product Analysts, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to understand their data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
- Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ELT workflows using AWS Redshift, Airflow, and DBT to enable efficient data processing and analysis
- Build and maintain data models and transformations using DBT, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality for downstream analysis
- Optimize data processes for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency to enable fast and reliable access to data
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand the product roadmap and incorporate data requirements into the data platform design
- Work closely with Product Analysts & Data Scientists to support their modeling and analysis needs by providing clean and structured datasets
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize disruptions to data access
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and recommend improvements to our data platform
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on AWS Redshift, Airflow, DBT, Python, and SQL
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles, ELT processes, and data modeling techniques
- Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale data processing and transformation
- Proficiency in scripting and programming with Python and SQL
- Familiarity with Gitlab or similar version control systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and interact with stakeholders
- ** Preferred**:

- Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of data architecture & data modeling principles and best practices
- Solid understanding of data platforms & machine learning platforms
