**Job Description Summary**: Our BD Medical - Pharmaceutical Systems business unit designs, develops and industrializes a broad portfolio of pre-fillable syringes, self-injection systems, safety and protection solutions to be sold to the pharmaceutical industry.

We are currently recruiting a FEA Simulation Expert who will fuel us with your passion for Product and Technology. We would want you to lead projects ensuring the robustness and strength of our product fits well within customer needs.

In this role it is key to understand customer requirements and be the main person to come up with creative solutions. You will be the face of our organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. You will work closely with your peers, technicians and fellow engineers across the board. You will also have the chance to collaborate with suppliers and external partners on new product development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build, develop, maintain and disseminate Finite Elements Analysis & Simulation expertise in Product development & sustaining.
- Plan, implement, monitor and deliver FEA & Simulation activities and deliverables for success of the Product development & sustaining.
- Accountable for success of assigned technical activities and deliverables. Drive periodic technical and/or design reviews.
- Customer focus: Develops understanding of customer needs and processes, translate them into specifications to ensure relevant simulation strategy and robust product design solutions.
- Deliver and own simulation tools & models to support Product design from development until sustaining.
- Validation/Qualification: Generates all the compliant documentation in respect of internal principles to build a comprehensive product history.
- Pro-actively identifies and mitigates technical risks. Drives complex technical problem solving.
- Identify and develop creative and novel modelling & simulating solutions, seeking at protecting BD intellectual property.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

**Preferred requirements**:
Our ideal profile is a motivated and dynamic Simulation R&D Engineer with strong competency in FEA, willing to learn and innovate. The key requirements for this role can be summarized as follows:

- Masters engineering degree or PhD in simulation, mechanical engineering or material science
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong ability to describe product mechanical behavior by 1st principle modelling and/or FEA, and integrate material characterization into simulation
- Good command of English language is a must
