A Cloud Operations advisory specialist assists the COO in defining a Cloud Operations strategy, providing technical and procedural guidance to achieve Operational excellence.

**Overview**:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technical specialist who specializes in Cloud and Hybrid Operations and has a passion for excellence and problem-solving to join our team.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Guide customers already using OCI or willing to on how to achieve Operational Excellence by adopting best practices and supporting tools in the areas of Fleet Management (DBs, VMs, Java), Incident management and SRE function, Monitoring leveraging AIOps, SecOps, Capacity planning and FinOps practice.
- Collaborate with multi-functional technical teams to collect all relevant inputs to ensure the solution is as complete and actionable as possible.
- Accelerate customer opportunities with new and existing customers through technical presentations, workshops, and solution assistance.
- Research and evaluate emerging solutions and services to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate directly with product management to steer features based on customers’ inputs and requirements.
- Create compelling written assets encompassing external publications and internal documentation, focusing on Operational Excellence and our recommended processes for running workloads on Oracle Cloud or in multi-cloud or hybrid scenarios with a unified cloud operating model.

**Required Skills/Experience**

**What You’ll Bring**:

- 10+ years of Solution Engineering experience with a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in complex IT environments.
- Operations background and IT Service Management.
- Ability to engage at the CXO level to have strategic conversations around Cloud Operations.
- Experience with DevOps, IaC/Eac concepts and related languages and tools.
- General knowledge of other CSPs, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including services relevant to ITOM.
- Knowledge of Data Center topologies.
- Strong understanding of OCI, including hands-on.
- Experience in helping COOs shape their cloud operations leveraging automation and AI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to solve sophisticated technical issues in cloud-based environments, effective communication skills, collaboration across teams, and conveying technical concepts to non-technical key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains.
- Certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate, SABSA, ITIL, FinOps practitioner), knowledge of specific industries, and experience in project management are a plus.
- Experience as a Cloud Operations Manager/Engineer is a plus.
