**Capability Unit**

Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations.

**Position Summary**

Support Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM aircraft maintenance team understand the operational considerations of the C-135FR by means of academic and hands on instruction. Work alongside MSM maintenance department and MSM Staff so they have the knowledge base to safely maintain the C-135FR. C-135FR Subject Matter Experts adhere to strict regulatory guidelines set by aviation authorities, such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). They must undergo comprehensive training and obtain the necessary certifications to demonstrate their competency in specific aircraft types or systems. Their meticulous work and attention to detail contribute to aircraft's overall safety and reliability, playing a critical role in the aviation industry.

**Roles and responsibilities**
- Conduct On-Hand training with personnel on modifications/differences between KC-135 and C-135FR.
- Conduct On-Hand training with personnel on how to properly maintain a C-135FR.
- Conduct proper breakdown of operation systems.
- Be the maintenance Subject Matter Expert for the C-135FR Aircraft Fleet.
- Knowledgeable of how to properly conduct troubleshooting for C-135FR Aircraft.
- Knowledgeable of Special tooling, equipment, and testing equipment required for system repairs.
- Support Logistics in the identification of Vendors and overhaul of parts.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert advice on future aircraft modifications and upgrades.
- Provide historical knowledge on past modifications.
- Provide on-call technical support to Maintenance personnel.
- All other duties that support C-135FR Fleet integration.

**Skills and Experience**

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent

**Experience**
- 9+ years working with the C-135FR aircraft, towing, jacking, and hazardous material use, storage, and disposal.
- Proven and demonstrable attention to detail skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, being able to determine causes of errors and deciding on the course of action to solve.
- Comprehensive understanding of company philosophy and processes.
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to read and understand the information presented in writing, diagrams, and schematics.
- Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
- Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

Computer Skills:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Word and Excel)

Certifications
- A&P - **Required** license or FAA equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current Passport

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work (please verify the below information)**
This is a full-time position, typically working 9-hour days, mainly in the evening when not flying or in the U.S. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Travel requirements are: 25 - 35%
