**Job Description**:
MANGOPAY continues to grow at an incredible pace. The Data Team needs a Lead BI & Data Science to help us deploy our data strategy and bring data to the next level.

She/He will be leading our BI & Data Science team, already composed of three Data/BI analysts and one data scientist with an ambition to hire 2 more resources. The Lead BI & Data Science will report to the Head of Data & will have as colleague the Lead Data Engineering & Governance.

The BI & Data Science team is a team who knows how to identify business issues and find a way to answer them based on data. You will be responsible, accompanied by the Data Team, for improving the data analytics and BI offer. On one hand, performing functional analysis means that you are able to speak the finance, marketing and compliance language, on the other, you should be technically capable to perform data analysis and visualization in order to create business value for the company.

We’re currently in the process of deploying a new cloud data platform. The BI & Data Science stack will be: Snowflake, Databricks & Looker (among others) on the cloud.

**Responsibilities**
Functional Requirements
- Supervise the Data Analysts & Data Scientists in your team and help them to improve their skills
- Ensure the follow-ups of the good health of the teams and their continuous improvement
- Carry the orga/mindset change induced by the scaling up
- Facilitate the work of the teams to ensure their ability to deliver
- Understanding client needs and being able to translate them to data analyses or new data projects
- Be an essential part of Mangopay's scaling

Technical Requirements
- Be the reference in terms of BI & Data Analytics and best practices
- Identify and create a synergy between the different data sources in the company
- Conduct research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to data business problems
- Continuously improve and enhance the performance, quality, capabilities, and functional coverage of analytics solutions
- Conduct advanced analysis
- Optimize reports for regulatory authorities.
- Work with the data team to develop and accelerate our projects.

**Qualifications**:
Experience
- 6+ years BI, Analytics and/or Data Science experience; business performance oriented.
- Experience with BI tool in production

Required skills
- Strong analytical skills to identify risks & opportunities related to finance, compliance and marketing environment. Ability to propose actionable recommendations
- Have a data-driven approach to decision making, are extremely rigorous when it comes to numbers
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, hands-on mentality, team-oriented and results-driven
- Interest in digital companies, FinTechs, marketplaces and/or platform business models
- Strong technical skills (SQL, Big Data/NoSQL ecosystem)
- Hands-on experience of working with data: gathering, preparation, data quality evaluation and monitoring
- Knowledge of the Big Data/NoSQL ecosystem and ability to program in SQL
- Strong business acumen & results oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have
- Knowledge of agile models (Scrum and Kanban)
- Knowledge of the financial environment (Bank, Fintech, PSP)
- Knowledge in machine learning.
