- This role is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 3 days onsite our Bidart or Bordeaux office in France. _

**Your Mission**

As our** Data Engineer / Bioinformatician,**you will contribute to the development, optimization and maintenance of the knowledge bases used for variant annotations and for internal gene panel creation.

**The value you bring**
- Design, develop and maintain the ETL tools for external data ingestion until the data exposition to internal users and platforms.
- Design, develop and maintain databases for various public resources.
- Contribute to the regular update of the internal versions of data sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the pipeline development, platform development and project manager teams to explore and define the requirements for new data sources ingestion.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, data engineering, or a related field, with experience in data management.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, Git, and Bash.
- Experience with data pre-processing and management.
- Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, unit testing and code reviews.
- Experience with ETL design and development is a plus.
- Experience with PySpark or Parquet files is a plus.
- Experience with NGS data analysis is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and delivering high-quality results.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting business priorities.
