Post-doctoral Position in Microbiology/molecular

The National Institute for Ocean Science (Ifremer) is an integrated marine sciences research institute, which contributes to national research and innovation, as well as to the European research landscape. As such, IFREMER produces:

EM3B also contributes to the transfer of processes on a pilot and industrial scale.

**General areas of responsibility**

**Principal activities**
- Organisation of shelf-life tests and challenge-tests on seafood products and coordination of lab members involved in microbiological, sensory, metabarcoding, Q-PCR and biochemical analyses.
- Development of statistical tools to integrate all the type of data obtained.
- Participation in microbiology experiments.
- Implementation of an enumeration technique using a Spiral automatic plater
- Help in the management of the FOODGUARD project: taking part in meetings in English (remote meeting), presenting results, drafting reports, etc.
- Valorization of results (scientific publications, conferences, posters, etc.)

**Profil**
- PhD in microbiology obtained within the last 3 years. Initial experience (fixed-term contract, post-doc) in food microbiology and biostatistical processing of multivariate data would be an advantage.
