We are looking for an experienced colleague into our procurement team of 3 with a minimum 3-5 years of transportation or logistics company and commercial background into the role of:
Freight Logistics Buyer (f/m/d) - France (Gaillon-Paris area)

What is possible?

Assess supply risks and minimise them whilst optimising payment terms and reducing working capital.

Manage the consolidation of the supplier base to meet the category strategy and leverage buying power.

Review and maintain adherence to process and procedures through education, coaching and enforcement

Identify and implement key strategic supplier interfaces - with procurement systems that maximise efficiency

Ownership of PTP data, including supplier records, approved supplier lists and sourcing rules in all systems

Conduct other tasks associated with the activities of the company’s purchasing & supply chain functions and administrative requirements including processing of approved requisitions into Purchase orders

Negotiation of tender for transport rates and terms as required to support outbound EU Logistics where necessary

Coordinate customs activities for inbound and outbound freight using internal and external expert knowledge

Measure performance and regularly report on key metrics to key stakeholders

Analyse performance, define a pipeline of improvement ideas, implement them and report on achievements

What do you bring?

Higher level education with Procurement focus - Degree CIPS qualified

Good working knowledge of English

Substantial experience in Procurement area - ideally freight / warehousing

Keen negotiation and communication skills

Provide a trusted service culture

Demonstrates creativity, integrity and innovation

Keeps focused on high priority tasks

Works on improvements

Supports international working groups & shares experiences

Demonstrates acceptance of different cultures and behaviours

Makes effective decisions in a timely manner

Ensures the consideration of legal and risk aspects

Knowledge of ERP (SAP Ariba and Oracle)

Literate in MS office
