Senior Software Engineer Team Lead

**About the role**:
You will join the R&D team of Skeepers (125 staff), a talented team working on the development of all Skeepers Solutions. In a SaaS company like SKEEPERS, the Engineering team is the main engine of our growth. Your work will have a direct impact on our end customers and your taste for challenge will allow the whole group to grow.

Within the R&D department, you will oversee our Consumer Video solution

On a daily basis you will manage the technical team (5 people) and you will be responsible for the technical choices.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the VP Engineering and supported by the CTO, you will oversee the Consumer Video roadmap and its technical Team. Your main missions will be the following:
**Solution Roadmap (Product & technical)**:

- Work closely with the Product Team (Product Manager & Product Designer) to build solutions customers love
- Build an architecture vision for complex projects. Break them down into milestones to make them more manageable as a team and consistent with the vision and business issues

**Deploy and ensure engineering best practice**:

- Lead and inspire a team of talented developers (Tech lead, Back, Front & Fullstack Developer)
- Evangelize best software development practices (DDD, TDD, CICD) with the squad
- Perform code reviews and design reviews to ensure compliance with development standards
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing best practices and habits
- Keep informed of any useful new features (lib, pattern...) to achieve the objective of a reliable, maintainable and performing code

**Team management**:

- Manage your team (career interview, training, performance,)
- Partner with HRBP team to attract and retain high quality and diverse talent
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship on a regular basis

**Delivery management**:

- Build, optimize, and scale the microservice platform
- Draft and review architectural diagrams, interface specifications, class structures, and other design documents
- Ensure operational excellence (velocity, code quality,)

**Requirements**:

- 5/10 years of experience in software and web development
- 2 years of experience in management or leadership of a software engineering team in Agile methodology
- Experience of video encoding is a plus
- Demonstrated project management and delivery experience
- Work as a leader, you have a strong sense of commitment to projects and team responsibilities
- Strong experience in training and coaching junior developers
- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills
- You can communicate effectively with other team members and stakeholders to explain and advocate your choices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under strict deadlines
- Good organization and communication skills
- Fluent in English
