Overview:
We are seeking a self-driven Field Applications Scientist to technically support the downstream filtration and chromatography product lines in the bioprocess industry. This individual will use their knowledge of process development, filtration and biomanufacturing to support customers and our sales team in pre
- and post-sales opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in coordination with the Repligen sales team and product management to provide pre
- and post-sales support to customers for the TangenX® flat sheet, Spectrum® hollow fiber, ProConnex® single-use flow paths, ARTeSYN TFF & Chromatography Systems, ProConnex® flow paths, KrosFlo® TFF Systems, OPUS® pre-packed chromatography columns and Chromatography resin product lines. This will include responding to customer requests for technical support, giving technical seminars, performing product demonstrations, providing on-site/in-lab support and training, troubleshooting and assisting with the execution of voice of customer surveys
- Develop and execute project plans to meet customer needs using Repligen technologies
- Draft detailed technical reports from customer interaction
- Provide knowledge and customer feedback to product management and R&D for the continuous improvement of products
- Present technical posters and seminars at trade shows and conferences
- Develop and support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to large scale commercial processes.

Qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific (biology/biochemistry) or engineering (chemical) field
- 3+ years’ experience working in a downstream purification discipline in a development or manufacturing setting in the bioprocessing industry. Relevant experience in the development of clarification, concentration and diafiltration unit operations. Working knowledge of scale-up/scale-down, tech transfer and cGMP requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in Gene/Cell Therapy and hands-on skills on TFF operation and experience on large-scale agarose column packing are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal/written communications skills and attention to detail are required
- Proven ability to build mutually beneficial, personable, trusting relationships with customers and partners
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and work independently to achieve defined goals
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules
- Up to 50% domestic travel and occasionally internationally
- Must be proficient in English, writing and speaking
