Industrialization Manager

**Purpose of the job / Position description**

The Industrialization Manager oversees scale up and industrial demonstration studies related to technology development projects. He/She organizes and manages trials to support platforms or any other strategic initiatives, at Ahlstrom’s plants or at any external partner (industrial or academic).

**Main mission / responsibilities**

Support industrial demonstration for Innovation Platforms:

- Organize and manage demonstrators for technology projects belonging to the platforms.
- Organize and execute pilot or industrial trials, internal or external, to demonstrate feasibility.
- Produce proof of concepts of finished products via machine suppliers or converters (printers, metallizer, laminators. )
- Manage relationships with key stakeholder (toll converters, Ahlstrom plants, raw material suppliers, Institutes )

Actively contributes to Process innovation:

- Manage Ahlstrom activity in European consortium projects Ahlstrom is part of.
- Establish contact with COO and update on Process projects progress).
- Coordinate and follow CTP projects from general program and ensure proper dissemination in Ahlstrom organization.
- Identify potential new processes for Ahlstrom platforms or for strategic initiatives.

Provide technical expertise:

- Support projects or initiative with her/his technical expertise is needed.
- Share/Train on her/his expertise field to leverage Ahlstrom knowledge.

**Key stakeholders**

Internal : Group Innovation, plants, BU R&D, Procurement, COO

External : Academic partners (CTP, project consortiums), assets suppliers, converters

**Deliverables/ KPIs**

Number of industrial demonstrations completed.

Knowledge development on new processes.

Number of Technology transfer from institute to Ahlstrom (CTP).

**Qualifications** (minimum level of knowledge and skills to fulfill one’s responsibilities)

Work experience needed : We are looking for a self-driven and proactive individual with Innovation background in global matrix environment.

More specifically:

- Min 10 years significant experience in R&D, preferably within the paper and nonwoven industry.
- Strong expertise on papermaking and pulp & fibers.
- Experience in scale-up trial management.

Minimum formal education : Master’s degree
