**The role**:

- Would you like to participate in ITER Project: one of the most ambitious energy projects in the world today, whose objective is to produce net energy and prepare the way for the fusion power plants of tomorrow?_

GTD is looking for a Plant I&C Engineer with a strong experience in Cryogenics projects and PLC development. You will work in the GTD team collaborating with the F4E-CODAC team in the context of Framework Service Contracts. You will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination in the follow-up of contracts and activities for the Plant System Instrumentation and Control (I&C) whole procurement process. In particular you will perform your activities in the ITER instrumentation and control for the Cryogenics plant during commissioning.

To note that the working environment and the tasks to be performed offer the opportunity to contribute to the development of a large international project, and to learn from the different plant systems/technologies to be implemented at the ITER plant.

The role includes development, on-site coordination for the deployment and commissioning supervision at ITER for the Cryogenics plant and future projects. You will integrate a growing team of local engineers.

Main functions:

- Identify Infrastructure & Communication requirements
- Review documentation provided by supplier
- Proactively participate in technical meetings
- Dialogue locally with the customer and supplier
- Create detailed work planning of local resources
- Report progress
- Coordination and supervision to cryogenics supplier during commissioning
- Technical I&C site support during commissioning
- Troubleshooting of PLC: including process control, communications, library functionalities and interface with HMI

Required experience:

- Experience in commissioning of continuous control systems (cryogenics is a plus)
- Experience in development of industrial plant system and/or complex distributed architectures systems based on Siemens PLC technology and including HMI
- Proven experience in Process Safety
- Proven experience in Siemens PLC, isntrumentation and Commissioning
- High level of English (Min. B2)

Advantageous skills and experience:

- Wide experience programming SIemens PLC (S7-400) using Step7
- Programming languages: CFC and SCL
- Industrial communication protocols: Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, OPC
- Experience in I&C commissioning for continuous process control systems
- Managing planning, developing, coordinating, supervising and reporting
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment
