Our client is a leading Tier 1 international arbitration practice renowned for resolving complex, high-value cross-border disputes. With a global presence in major arbitral centres across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America, the firm represents both sovereign states and blue-chip corporates in commercial, investment treaty, and public international law matters.

Key Requirements

We are seeking a qualified and experienced international arbitration lawyer with proven expertise in both arbitration proceedings and arbitration-related court litigation.

Essential qualifications and experience:

- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales
- 3-5 years’ PQE in international arbitration and related litigation
- Practical experience in arbitration-related court proceedings (e.g., anti-suit injunctions, set-aside proceedings, enforcement of arbitral awards)
- Familiarity with CPR procedures and English court practices
- Strong academic background, ideally with postgraduate legal education

Core skills and competencies:

- Excellent drafting skills for persuasive, well-structured written submissions
- Ability to analyse complex legal/factual issues and develop case strategy
- Sound understanding of principal international arbitration rules and procedures
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Outstanding communication and client handling skills, with confidence liaising with clients, tribunals, experts, and opposing counsel
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and ability to perform under pressure

Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate, you will play a central role in advising and representing clients in high-profile, multi-jurisdictional disputes involving transnational commercial contracts and investment treaties.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Advising clients on procedural requirements under the CPR and court practices
- Leading elements of case preparation, including legal strategy and case theory development
- Drafting complex written submissions and coordinating input from junior lawyers
- Managing large-scale document review and legal research processes
- Assisting in the preparation of witness and expert evidence, including strategic assessments and procedural compliance
- Liaising directly with clients, witnesses, experts, tribunals, courts, and opposing counsel throughout all stages of proceedings
- Ensuring all work meets the firm’s high standards of excellence, efficiency, and professionalism

This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced arbitration lawyer to contribute meaningfully to some of the most complex and significant international disputes in the field.

Pay: 160,000.00€ - 180,000.00€ per year
