Global Infrastructure Director

We are looking for a
**Global**
**Infrastructure Director** who is passionate about a vibrant mix of IT / Cloud products and Datacenter / Network technologies. Reporting to the Chief Industrial Officer (CINO), you are the budget owner and responsible for a broad range of projects related to OVH 5-year strategic plan in terms of infrastructure roll-out worldwide.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and feed OVHcloud mid-term/long term Datacenter roadmap
- Set up sites Master Plan on existing campuses to phase their growth (building extensions/electrical line-ups add-ons/cooling line-ups add-ons/local networks deployment/connection upgrades to the electrical grid)
- Identify opportunities for new sites (screening, due-diligence)
- Perform tests fit and projected investment/operating costs for each opportunity
- Negotiate rent/acquisition contracts (Greenfield/Brownfield/Shell and Core/Colocation) along with the Sourcing/Legal teams
- Plan and manage OVHcloud infrastructure budget
- Submit the yearly CAPEX/OPEX plan for arbitration
- Seek for project related budget approvals in regular investment committees prior to execution
- Follow up on the monthly budget consumption with the Finance controlling team
- Reforecast the budget to align with the business needs and the year-end landing objectives
- Design OVHcloud infrastructures
- Define the inside and outside urbanization of the Datacenters
- Issue the High Level Design of the systems (electrical/cooling/monitoring) leveraging the latest OVHcloud R&D innovation
- Maintain a cost/environment driven technology watch to assess and ultimately introduce the latest innovations in the Datacenter industry
- Put together the Technical Specifications of the systems prior to the Requests For Proposals sent out on the market
- Analyze and validate the vendors/contractors submissions along with the Sourcing/Legal teams
- Deploy OVHcloud Datacenter infrastructures
- Set up the long lead-time items sourcing and procurement strategy along with the Sourcing/Supply teams
- Project manage the construction/installation works on site
- Perform the Factory and Site Acceptance Tests of the miscellaneous gears to be installed
- Perform the commissioning of the critical systems (electrical line-ups/cooling line-ups/monitoring)
- Hand over to the Datacenter Operations teams upon completion
- Deploy OVHcloud Network infrastructures
- Set up the long lead-time equipment sourcing and procurement strategy
- Negotiate the telco/housing services contracts along with the Sourcing/Legal teams (dark fiber, transmission capacity, peerings/IP transits, PoP colocation services)
- Define OVHcloud Peering strategy and implement it
- Project manage the installation/cabling works on site
- Hand over to the Network Operations teams upon completion

**Skills**:

- Strong experience along with credibility & seniority, including management experience
- Solid knowledge of Datacenter and Network related technologies
- Ability and experience to lead strategic projects with diverse cultures and teams
- Excellent orchestration, collaboration and facilitation skills, with an ability to include all voices, and drive strategy formulation and execution
- Highly organized, thoughtful, and proactive in driving projects forward independently
- Fluency in English & French

**Profile**:

- 10+ years of work experience leading international projects and managing budgets
- 5+ years in managing technical and project management teams
- Passion for the Datacenter industry : continuous self-training on new infrastructure technologies
- Trusted team player with the ability to foster strong relationships across multiple levels and functions within a global organization
- Effectively communicate and work with individuals at all levels
- Thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously with a strong focus on optimizing costs
